Your specialism: The International Law and International Relations LLM* is an exciting programme for students looking to pursue a career in international non-governmental organisations, government departments, international firms, or as international consultants. New this year, it is a specialist course that enables you to combine units provided by both the Law School and the School of Sociology Politics and International Studies to create an exceptional programme of study. Usually taught as two discreet subjects, the LLM in International Law and International Relations encourages an integrated theoretical and interdisciplinary approach to issues of international regulation and governance so you can build a deep understanding of how one discipline informs the other. The programme covers general methods, scope and theories of International Law and International Relations and allows for further specialisation within these broad fields.

Your LLM: The University of Bristol LLM offers a variety of possibilities to study law at an advanced level and the opportunity to specialise in particular areas. There are a number of specialist programmes enabling you to study a set of related units that, together, provide a more in-depth knowledge and understanding of those themes. Alternatively, you can opt for a broader and more general set of unit choices. In all cases, you are encouraged to explore at a deeper level your chosen areas of law and to see how those legal fields operate in different contexts, considering the relevant issues theoretically and practically and from a range of perspectives. Entry requirements to this course is an upper second-class honours degree in Law or a degree with an adequate law component.
